BenchmarkONE now allows imports with over 10,000 contacts in one spreadsheet!

First, Prepare Your File for Import in BenchmarkONE

  • Accepted File Types: Use .CSV, .XLS, or .XLSX files.

  • Organize Your Data: Separate values like first name, last name, address, etc., into their own columns.

  • Label Your Columns: Make sure the first row has headers. If importing contact and company data, label columns accordingly.

  • Tags: Separate tags by commas within the same cell or use individual columns.

Next, Follow These Simple Steps to Import Your File Efficently.

  1. Upload Your File

    • From the Contact List View, click the +Import button and upload a .CSV, .XLS, or .XLSX file.

  2. Import Wizard: Map Your Data

    • The system auto-maps column headers from your file to BenchmarkONE fields using Smart-Mapping. Adjust any fields using the dropdowns if needed.

    • You can skip importing specific fields by selecting "Do Not Import."

  3. Set Contact and Company Defaults

    • Apply tags, statuses, or assign sales reps for the entire import. These defaults fill in missing values if not mapped directly from the file.

  4. Add Custom Fields on the Fly

    • Create new Custom Fields while mapping. For dropdowns, BenchmarkONE will detect and prefill values from your spreadsheet.

  5. Optional Campaign Start

    • Launch a campaign automatically for newly imported or updated contacts by selecting a campaign during import.

  6. Complete Your Import

    • Click FINISH to begin the import. If security settings block updates to certain contacts, consult with your admin.

Final Notes

  • Track import progress using the quick link icon at the top right corner.

  • You’ll receive email notifications when the import starts and completes.

  • Imports are processed sequentially with other accounts, so depending on file size and system traffic, an import may take 5 to 40 minutes.

*This feature is only available for accounts with a 10,000 tier or more contacts.
